Buckeye Lake experiences Memorial Day boating for the first time in two years

MANY TOOK ADVANTAGE TO THE HOLIDAY AND TOOK THEIR BOATS OUT TO THE LAKE FOR A DAY OF FUN. THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES HAD KEPT THE LAKE SHALLOW AND OFF LIMITS TO MOST BOATING FOR THE LAST TWO YEARS. WATER LEVELS HAVE SINCE BEEN INCREASED AT THE LAKE ALLOWING FOR BOAT ACCESS ON THE WATER. NBC 4’S TYLER CARTER WENT OUT TO THE LAKE TO DAY TO SEE HOW BOATERS ARE ENJOYING THE WAVES. LAST WEEK THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES ANNOUNCED THAT SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS MADE TO THE DAM WOULD ALLOW FOR REGULAR SUMMER BOATING.
