How often do you skate? Alright – my name is the Ricardo Lino and I’m a wheel addict today I’m going to show you how to choose the right size for your skates and to choose the right size for your skates There’s three things that you need to have in consideration the first thing is What type of skates are you going to skate with? It is the inline skate or A roller skate as you can see in this skate that got in my hand if you have an inline skate you’d really need to have a tight fit Why? well as you can see there’s only one little line Which is going to be touching the floor if your skate is not snug enough You want a stability enough specially if you’re going to be skating with the taller frame like this one when it comes to Roller skate? Check this out the the base touching the floor is a lot wider and With a wider base like these you’ll have a lot more stability of course then you can control the stability by having your trucks a little bit tighter and There’s different types of foods like these boot is like a plastic shell and all those things But you just need to have in mind on Roller skates You can have a bigger size but on an inline skate that will not work on inline case usually you want to have something that Fits you something that you feel snug, and you feel Supportive enough then there’s another thing if you want to have supportive skate that you should know it is also managed that is The age of the person is in this case what I mean by ages if we have a kid buying a skate and If we want to snug feet what do we need to do? Well? You should know that most of the resin all day they make Adjustable size skate, how do you do that? Well most of them? They just have like a little push button here on the side, and then you click that push button. They just get longer or shorter This one goes from the sides Take it from a 33 to a 36 European size But it’s just something that you should know basically if you mind skate for a kid you still want this case to be Next to their feet so the best option It’s going to an adjustable size skate, so then you can adjust it to their size And they’ll still have that snug feeling that you need like I told you before our named landscapes to have that Feel like that support is feeling that you need one less thing Which is really important when you’re choosing scape and you want to have this case the right size And that is how often do you skate? If you got a skate every day You know that you’re going to break into the skate a lot faster what I mean by break into the skate means The skate will adapt to your food and most of those skates nowadays And you can see this one this one says each model which means that it can put the liner in the oven For five minutes has 100 degrees and then you type the skate And then these will adapt to your food most of the skates just by itself the deforms on the boots They tend to adjust your food that’s what I mean by breaking into the skates of course if you’re going to skate once in a month this will take a lot longer and your first skate experiences if your skate doesn’t feel really good out of the box are not going to be as Good as you wish they would be so if you are going to buy a skate And if you use you’re planning on skating every now and then and the best would be by going to a shop you go to A shop you try few skates And you buy the one that feels the best that’s obvious right most of the people that skate every day they know the skates around they kind of tested them you can always go to the website for the brands and they usually have a Size chart if you don’t know the size of your skate You can just get a ruler just measure your insole of your shoes of the shoes that you use every day and then if you go to a shop you can just measure the insole then you have like an Idea of what skates you should get or if you measure install you can also go to the size chart on the the brand? Website and then just compare it There’s one less thing if you really want some skate, but you don’t really know your size You always have another option like this, which is the duplicate you use them with your own shoes I don’t think you’re going to go wrong with this one So that’s the easy seat if you don’t know what what size to go? But you have a lot of shoes that fit you right, so this could be an option and that’s it. I hope this was helpful I have someone calling me right now so I need to end up these right now, so Don’t forget to subscribe to the channel if you like these one give it a thumbs up give me a second See you later cheers. Hello Yes, it’s Ricardo. I can’t help you will be

  1. Good video, but constantly moving the skates around is distracting. Maybe you could put them on a stand, or do cut-away shots.

  2. Good advice! Sizing can be a bear. I have wide feet, and Seba was the only brand I tried that fit me well. My first skates, FRX80, I bought one European size too large due to inexperience. Buy snug skates!

  3. Not to be underestimated how important this is, get the wrong skates as a starter and all you'll remember is how much your feet hurt or how bad the skates perform because it's not sitting well on your foot. Correct me if I'm wrong. One of the most important things to take notice off when fitting skates is to control how well your heel is strapped in, a little toe wobble can be acceptable but if your hell isn't snug and strapped in well you're just going to have a bad time.

  4. my husband has thin ankles and has a hard time finding inlines that fit snugly. would doops help that? would using a ladies' skate help?

  5. Hey Lino, I really like your videos. I am 35 and the last time I really went skating was in the 90`s (Just Half Pipe with my Roces Majestic 12). Now I started again, but of course just for fitness and some Fun. Your Channel helps me to get into skating again. At the moment I am Skating on normal 90 Euros Rollerblades but I want to buy some new Skates. Maybe you can help me with my choice. I picked some models from Powerslide, 1st POWERSLIDE Kaze Supercruiser 110, 2nd POWERSLIDE Imperial Supercruiser Pro 110. But I don't know if a Hardboot or the Kaze boot fits better for my style. I am trying to skate fast but also with some Jumps, Stairs and some tricks. I saw that you are skating the Kaze's. How do you like them?Best greeting from Germany

  6. Hey, I'm still younger, so my feet are still growing. With this said, my feet are very big, like the rest of me. I wear a size 11 shoe and it feels comfortable, but I also want 12 so I don't have to retire them quickly. Any suggestions?

  7. 10 days ago I have had bought K2 velocity Boa 84 84mm 82A.
It is a fitness inline skate, and im not satisfied at all they are uncomfortable on my wide feet and it causes pain after 15 min.

  8. I skate everyday when it is not raining. My size now is the Megacruisers, big part of because of your videos!

  9. cool hat x) with my roller skates sometimes y feel like they are a litte too big but is not bigb deal. Im afraid that if i get a smaller size might be too small and uncofortable :/

  10. hi, i'am Asian Size length of my feet with socks is 255-260mm wide is 9.8-10cm. Which size i should to choose. If i want to buy powerslide Kaze Supercruiser urban110 from international shop.EU 41 or 42?? In China doesn't sell.

  11. Love your videos! So how much toe allowance should give when we buy new skates? None or even get half size down? Since the liner is due to expand and mold to the feet?

  12. Went to a shop and got fitted with a pair of k2 pro 84's 1 month in i now find out my feet are too wide after trying to break the fuckers in, and have the foot pain and circulation problems across the balls of my feet to lessen the pain my skate is so loose i can slip my foot out without trying. Really getting frustrated with the lack of variety for wide foot especially in women's sizing. Any recommendations on brands that cater to a wide foot?

I'm paranoid i'm going to lay down another $500 for pair of skates that don't fit properly.

  13. I tried but couldn't find a video that corresponds with my question. I hope you don't mind that I ask here. I have Kaze 110 right now and I was considering getting a smaller indoor/race type wheel to switch out for use at the skating rink. Would I run into any issues using a smaller wheel on the same frame? Like a 100 or 90mm wheel. Thanks, I enjoy your vids.

  14. I’ve always wanted to skate in a long time but I’ve always been afraid to try and never had the money to actually get one. Now that I am much older I feel like I can go buy one myself since I’m always riding my longboard everywhere maybe I can roller skate everywhere now. I’m trying to figured out everything about finding and learning about the skates before I actually go buy one. Your channel help me a lot with researching about these skates.

  15. Hi Lino. Can you help me. I used to ride a lot every week to go to work : at least 90 km a week. I try to slide to brake but it is difficult for 2 reasons. First, I have a big backpack but I need to have it. Second, I have race wheels: 4×90 with a soft frame for bad weather and 3*110 dual density for good weather. I need to have confort. I do. I need to slide more. I don't. Race wheel are very strong, but it sticks me on the floor and gives me a too short length of brake even in 110×3. My weight is 92kg and my tall 190m. I am looking for wheels that have a good grip but that are able to slide well. And… not to weak …. that is a lot of kilometer with a set of wheels. What do you think about it ?
    Yours Olivier From France

  16. i dont understand !!! my foot size against a wall is 25.4 cm. My shoes size is UK 8. Which inline should i go ?? EU 41 or 42 ??
    I am always confused !!!! Should I choose 1 size bigger ??

  17. I honestly don't know what to do, i want inline skates (particularly tri-skates). But i cant find any in my size, I dont want to have to buy kids skates but they seem to be the only ones in my size but i dont want a break on them either. What do I do?

  18. Hey Lino!!! I'm a newbie, and I'm using the seba frx 42, does it have thesame fitting with the Powerslide Imperial, because I'll be buying it online, thanks!!!!

  19. Please send me free skating . My size 5. My age 15 years old girl . I requested to you. Happy Christmas and Happy new year.

  20. Hi Richardo, thanks for the video. I wear size 45 for my sport shoes. And I tried 44/45 on Flying Eagle and the side of the skate press on my right foot, which isn’t comfortable when I stand up, not even skating for a long time. Size 45 feels like my running shoes. No pressure points. The shop attendant told me I can mitigate the looseness by adding an insole. May I have your opinion please? Thank you

  21. Hi Lino! I need your advice.
I just got some chaya noir II skates. Love the padding. But when i do not tye the boot tightly enough, my big toes touch the front from the inside in a way that is not ver comfortable. But i have to tye them that tightly then that the laces hurt my foot joints when just bending my joint s little bit. I also git thebfeeling that i hsve to tye them really tightly to get ebough ankle support. The rest of the boots feels very comfortable though. I dont know if i should go a size up or if the chayas are just not right for me. Before that i had rookies which inhad to sendt back as well bc they were too tight and too short.
