Hi I’m Schell Michael, and I’m here with Expert
Village and today we’re going to be doing a series on how to surf. Alright, so now we’re
going to talk a little bit about weather forecasting. The ultimate day for surfing would probably
be light winds, three or five foot range, and the sun would be up. For beginning, I
guess you can’t really be too choosy; you’re probably going to be riding the white water
anyways. So that doesn’t matter too much about you know, the outside wave. But, let’s see.
The best way I’d say would be going online. There’s surfline.com. There’s like a bunch
of like live bouyies and live webcams and depending on the location you want to go.
You kind of just like type in and you know, where you want to be surfing, and it will
bring up your place and you can check on the tides. You can check on, you know, when is
the high, when is the low, when it’s going to peak the most. It gives you all the information
and you’ll get more familiar with that. You’re probably wondering some of the stuff I’m talking
about, but, it’s always important to know before you go. Also, if you have a weather
radio, those can be super effective as well. It gives you a broad overcast of not just
the surf, but the sky, what’s happening, you know, what weather friends are coming in,
if it’s going to be cold, if it’s going to be warm.
